I loved the portable swing that I borrowed from my parents for my first child. I couldn't have lived without it and had no complaints. The only downside was it only ran on batteries and I had to replace them quite often because she used it so much. I'm not sure if full-size swings run on batteries as well, but I wish it had an optional wall plug. Other than that I would highly recommend it!

SpaghettiO's. I always sneak a few bites when I make some for my daughter. Then one day I caught my mom doing it too!

I've done this before (6 years ago). I had cinnamon boogers for a week and still don't like cinnamon very much because of this :/

I have had this diaper bag for almost a year now and I love it. If you like the style then don't hesitate to buy it. I agree that many bags could work as "diaper bags" but if you like it, why not? I would definitely recommend this diaper bag to my friends.

My in-laws are extremely guilty of this. My husband has tried everything, buying his dad a new fancy knife for his birthday, buying them a sharpener, sharpening them himself when he goes down there... but they're always dull. His mom throws them in the dishwasher and says she prefers dull knives so she won't cut herself. It's crazy! This thanksgiving I was watching her pare an apple and she was so close to cutting herself about 5 times that I had to leave the room because she wasn't listening to me. I'm not the type to judge anyone, but I was literally shocked.

I thought it was colored in markers at first, but it seems whimsical for a kids room.

I've been making a version of this for a few years now. Homemade frozen yogurt (1 container plain greek yogurt, 1/2C sugar) bananas, sometimes strawberries, granola and *the best part* just a drizzle of bittersweet chocolate. That really makes you feel like you're eating a treat for breakfast. But really, out of orange rolls, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake... a real sundae for breakfast wouldn't be that crazy!

This party is so inspiring to me. It seems achievable and not over the top, yet memorable.

Three minutes is really short when you are trying to edit down so much footage! Any longer though and people will lose interest. I find that it is easier to just choose either photos or videos only, that way you automatically cut out half of your stash. I recommend videos because you will have SO MANY cute photos you won't be able to decide. Plus you should leave a photo on the screen for 3-4 seconds and that ends up eating a lot of your time.

Chronological always makes the most sense, for viewers and yourself as editor. I would just try to focus on "firsts." You may have a lot of footage of your baby eating, but pulling out the "firsts" will also naturally edit out your choices.

Most importantly, have fun and use your gut! You know what the best clips are. I made a short video about my daughter (she was only 4 months) because I was in an editing type mood. I made it on my mac and thought I would try and use the trailer for the documentary "Babies" as inspiration because I loved the song they used.
