Ok, I've been thinking about it some more. Can you please explain why you have decided to overlap posts on multiple channels? I understand that the content may relate to several channels, but doesn't the fact that posts appear on multiple channels undermine the purpose of channels? It seems like overlap posts just confirm the fact that your channel organization is too specific.

If I understand the reason behind your decision, it might help me understand the process a bit better.

I agree with JaimeMariel, Nitedula, LMMP, KellyBeth, Papergrader, Hyzen, Juis22, Njjan and others.

I understand that a comprehensive main page will be coming soon. That's good news. However, I'm not interested in every category (I never read Re-Nest, Unplggd, The Ktchn, or Ohdeedoh) so a main site won't suit me. I'm willing to browse the 5 separate channels in which I am interested (and frankly, that's asking a lot). However, I am VERY disappointed that I will be faced with duplicate content from each channel. Please consider placing each post on only one channel so that readers who are now forced to visit multiple channels won't be faced with redundant information.

I have read AT every single day for the past four years. Literally, every single day...you can even check your site meter for my IP address! I've frequently had existential crises about complaining about a free blog. I don't pay to read it. However, I am the reason the blog can exist. My visits, along with the millions of other reader visits, generate the ability to get paid advertising. So in fact, we are your customers. As a blog, you should pay attention to the input of your readers. Without us, you won't be able to sustain as a profitable site. I love AT and am very hopeful you'll listen to your reader's feedback.

The link to the Bottle Rocket poster is incorrect. It's one of my favorite movies and I would love to have that beautiful print in my home! Do you have a correct link?

Sigh, this makes me sad. This place is incredible, but a home styled by Time Warner is just about the last thing I am interested in seeing on AT.

As a longtime reader, it's very disappointing to see posts like this. The commercialization of AT seems to be increasing. I hope it's temporary and AT will get back to showcasing real houses with real inspiration. I'm sorry, but no matter how hard I try to suspend my disbelief, I can't seem to be inspired by a temporary showhome created by the third largest media conglomerate in the world.

Oh, and how many ipads does a house really need?

@mirandajane. The chalkboard grocery lists drive my crazy! Chalkboard walls seem ridiculous to me to begin with, but to put up fake lists and appointments is just plain silly. The fakeness seems to reiterate that chalkboard walls are actually useless (families with children may be an exception). I know it's the element that the friends loved the most, but I just can't get on the chalkboard wall train.

Of course, the rest of the house is lovely. I especially like the living room (coffee table is awesome). It's pretty inspiring what's been done with the budget. It looks much more luxurious than $5,000.

This is great! Thanks for the tour, AT. I actually noticed the apartment in Winnebago Man and wondered about it. It's really cozy and stylish.

Also, though Winnebago Man is very funny, it is also deeply touching. In fact, I teared up at couple of points. Lovely film and lovely home!

I think this is funny. I lived in RI for four years and never once saw a barnstar, but being a native Texan and living here now, I see them ALL THE TIME. I think they are a little tacky. But I admit, I use a small one to top my Christmas tree. I like to think of it as a Lone Star though.

When this store was profiled a while back, I spent some time looking at their website. Imagine my surprise when I saw an IKEA item I own for sale at thisisnotikea. And it costs about $40 more than what it cost me at IKEA.

FYI: This is ikea. http://www.thisisnotikea.com/wordpress/?p=19245
