I am also annoyed at people's lack of ability to commit to or decline an event invitation. But reading through these comments, it appears we're all in agreement. So where are all these people who don't RSVP? I would like to hear from some of them. State your case! Party Planning Vent: What's So Hard About RSVPing? |

If you read the article, he was doing the research to make a proposal to his landlords. They would be the ones to pay for the renovation. He decided it would be interesting to get quotes to see what could be done at various price levels. From Budget to Blowout: Imagining 3 Renovation Scenarios For a Tiny Kitchen The New York Times |

Okay, I need to never read the comments on these house tours, because people can be incredibly rude and it is infuriating. Didn't your parents ever teach you, "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." And regarding "it looks like a showroom" or "it looks cold ... no personality," these people always make comments like this when a home is put together, streamlined, or appears professionally decorated. This home is beautiful, as are the homeowners, and they have done a fantastic job with this space. It's light, bright, modern, open, and has some great art. Bravo! I live a block away from this place and it's awesome! I'm so excited they have taken up residence here. I do have some feedback though. They need a proper sign. From the exterior you would have no idea what this place was, or even know that it was open. A few friends in the neighborhood who pass by The Wet Whistle on a daily basis, had no idea that it had opened. that is a problem. There is a tiny (and I mean tiny) sign hanging from a shopping cart on top of the building, which frankly makes the store look sketchy from the exterior. Not something you want in an establishment on this side of town. Industrial + Vintage + Punk Style: The Wet Whistle |

Love that green wallpaper, but keep in mind that they are preparing the house for sale, so they would probably be wise to remove it. Big Cottage Reno: Stripping Down and Painting |

LOVE IT! It's modern, fresh, clean, AND unique and non-coockiecutter! I'm truly amazed... not many people could pull this off. The gold knobs are awesome... they're like a big "eff you" to all the beige and polished nickel lovers out there. I can't wait to see the rest of the place. I'd also love to see it decorated, so please continue to post updates! The World's Ugliest Condo: The Big Reveal Renovation Before & After |

What a wonderful home! It has such character and I love how Steve's personality really comes through. I'm envious of how collection of seascapes and while I'm not a fan of taxidermy, we have to remember that this is his space, not ours. I love that there is nothing cookie cutter happening here. @Thorndale - because creeping fig is beautiful. And because these people clearly have enough funds to repair any damage that might occur over the long term. Although, I suspect the intention is for the creeping fig to cover the entire wall, coating it in a lush layer of green. A Year-Round Courtyard in Pasadena Professional Project |

Made these today and they are great! Replaced 1/2 cup of flour with whole wheat flour and used dried cranberries instead of raisins. These muffins are moist and delicious, but not too sweet. Great recipe! Recipe: Quick and Homey Oatmeal Raisin Muffins |
