This looks great! The plum/ginger sorbets sounds wonderful. I'm so happy to have a feast of great vegan books now and hopefully, this trend will continue. I don't see anything wrong with tofu, seitan or soy/nut milks, which have as much as a place in a varied vegan diet as vegetables, grains and other legumes. Plum by Makini Howell New Cookbook |

This is such useful info! I love that it works for a crowd, or iced coffee or quick coffee on weekday mornings, all without any special coffee makers--great stuff. How To Make Coffee Concentrate to Serve Hot Coffee to a Crowd Cooking Lessons from The Kitchn |

Minimalist for sure. A lot of 'stuff' feels suffocating to me. I think you can introduce coziness by introducing natural textures and handmade things--minimal doesn't have to feel cold. Minimal vs. Cozy: Which is More \"You\"? |

I have only lived in one apartment with a dishwasher, and it came in handy after big parties and on holidays. Currently I don't have one and I'm content to clean as I go and wash by hand. It's just one of those chores that I do on auto-pilot (music helps). I would much rather have my own washer/dryer. For that, I'd do my dishes and yours by hand all day long. The small footprint makes this very appealing. I wonder how it makes soymilk? Does it just puree the beans and then you still have to cook it? Hurom HH Series Premium Slow Juicer/Smoothie Maker Product Review |

@Carrotsticks, I indicated my distaste for this in a previous comment. I'm vegan, and I get what you're saying.-- Meat eaters don't really connect that they're actually eating animals, I guess, and this is too much a hit of 'hey, dead animal here' for them. It is baffling. Rabbit Fur Tea Cozy |

I had not heard of this tip before; I may try it it next time I make hummus. I use the Cook's Illustrated tip to blend the chickpeas very well first before adding anything else--I've been pretty happy with that. Smitten Kitchen's Tip for Incredibly Smooth Hummus: Have You Tried It? |
