Another scam related food I learned was at sushi restaurants. They usually substitute tilapia (I even read sometimes white bass) for red snapper for their sashimi, maki, etc.

I think it's great to read something like this. Especially how the outside world can be so stressful, it is vital to have a home to escape to.

I live in a sketchy neighborhood, but once you walk into my place; it would slip your mind. (Except for the screaming crackheads outside! hehe)

I have also learned to be grateful for everything I have, in turn, makes you realize it's the little things that count the most.

Oh, and fresh flowers. ;-)

I did this last November. Got my own place and bought ALL new furniture. I was impressed that I was able to do that considering the cost of rent here in SF. *pat myself on the back*

I just couldn't live in that same apartment that we were in. I like fresh, restart and new.

I'm gonna take a guess and say that this apartment is in the Tenderloin.

I live in an adorable studio in a wonky building. Nice landlord, though.

anyone else not digging the fact that the more raw of the chicken on top is possibly dripping onto the cooked chickens on the bottom? (the right side of the roaster).

Maybe it's Culinary School getting to me, but that really grosses me out. And maybe, maybe it is not a big deal...

However, I have had Roli Roit here in SF...pretty good. Zuni? meh...overrated!
