Change that floor!!! I bought a house with that exact flooring it was depressing. Like somebody had a bad night with mushroom stroganoff. I put in cork flooring that matches the wood floors in the rest of the house. It improved everything and made the space feel bigger and cleaner.

I'm a huge snob about my pecan pie, I don't like any fussing with it. But I have to say I might give this a go. I love graham cracker crust and think the texture would be great. You have my support!

Lemons are my life force! My boyfriend thinks I am obsessed...I have passed this article along to him. I cannot go to the grocery store without picking up a couple of lemons or limes. You never know when you will need them.

@onebravegirl I have a cookbook that suggests adding purchased fruit infused vinegar to soda water. That particular blend sounds like it would be really good!

I love a shrub! It truly is a very refreshing drink made with soda water. Also, delicious with a splash of whiskey! Currently enjoying our homemade mulberry shrub...such a lovely color. Thanks for the history, I had no idea.

We had our cork flooring installed about a year ago. the tiles are the pre-finished, click-together variety. We love them! They are really comfortable and go nicely in our 1951 ranch complimenting our original wood flooring. So far there has been no fading, scratching, swelling or buckling! Our dog loves to go sliding across the floor all nails out when in pursuit of the cat. There is no trace of this action and it happens daily! One thing is that I live in Denver so it is DRY...which might help with the seam issues.

@HEYJOANNE My couch is really holding up well! My less than graceful dog jumps on and off/flies off it all the time (trying to correct these behaviors), no damage from her. Also, my husband is a big fella and the cushions are perfectly firm where he sits...you can't see a difference from each side. I have had my couch for about three years now and it still looks brand new! The armrests are the only hard part on the couch...which is easily remedied by a pillow. We have the 89" version which was necessary for the shape of our living room. Hard to find a stylish not overly modern (boxy) sofa in that length.

I have the Loring and I love it!! I got it custom covered in a beautiful blue velvet. It is total eye candy. On top of that it is comfortable and durable, my 50lb dog can attest to that. Bonus that it looks great in my 1951 ranch...

I just got my stainless steel counter and integrated sinks installed last week. Love them! We have a 1950's blue tiled kitchen with cork floors and had a tough time deciding what to get. We decided on the stainless because of the durability but also because it acts as a neutral color. The kitchen has great windows and the stainless steel reflects soft muted tones throughout the day. They clean easily and I look forward to the character lines it will gain through use! We had these custom made by a local company in Denver.
