It completely depends on my mood. Some days it's fast, driving, loud rock (Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters), some days it's Ella Fitzgerald, some days it's my favorite internet radio station that plays indie rock (www.woxy.com), etc etc. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Do You Listen to Music While Cooking? |

I reviewed this book on my blog last week. A cursory read-through of the book led me to give it a pretty good review. But then I tried out a few recipes and I've had to change my review. I posted one recipe from it, and I've made a total of 5 dishes from the book so far - none of them were good. Some required serious fixes and some were irreparable. I consider myself to be an accomplished home chef and I know Indian food very well (I was raised on it) so I'm quite sure that the poor results were not due to my inability in the kitchen or my unfamiliarity with Indian flavors. I love a good dry rose with spicy food like Thai or Indian (with which I'd normally drink beer). I'm currently loving Pinot Noir roses (Toad Hollow's is great), and one of my favorite things ever is Piper Heidsieck's Rose Sauvage (made with pinot noir grapes, too) - it's fizzy, a beautiful deep pink shade, and it strikes just the right balance between sweet and dry. ilovebutter - Freezing does NOT kill lactobacilli (the bacteria in yogurt), nor will it kill many other kinds of bacteria. They just shut down, and, when thawed out, they wake up and function normally. Crazy little critters. Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | What's In Your Freezer? |

I had that same color mixer! Itâs called Cranberry (although itâs really more of a magenta color) and it hasnât been made for at least 5 years now â the only way to get it is to get a refurbished mixer from KitchenAid. Unfortunately, my beloved âCranberryâ mixer died last winter, but now I have a lovely purple one! Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | Kitchen Spotlight: Holly and Sean's Hot Pink |

I second the above comment about a vegetarian challenge. I don't think a single one of these people would have a clue as to how to make a satisfying vegetarian meal (although Dale and Richard came kind of close last week with that beef fat-flavored tofu...if it weren't beef-flavored, it would have been a great dish, albeit not perplexed!) One of my big problems with her is one that no one here has mentioned: she's a chain smoker with a caffeine addiction (cigarettes coffee tend to go hand in hand). I've read in a few places that she smokes well over a pack a day of Marlboro Reds, which are pretty much the strongest cigarette you can get, and she has admitted to drinking 10 cups of coffee a day, which is in fact an addiction.
