Stephvixen - have you taken your cat to the vet? Sometimes this kind of peeing means an infection. Or, as I Love Upstate says, your cat could be stressed. I've had cats who have peed for both reasons. The former was solved by antibiotics, the second by anti-anxiety medication (oh, my spoiled, spoiled pets!). Allergies seem to be dismissed pretty readily in these comments (angelabaca). However, as a person with many friends with asthma and allergies, these are serious concerns. Some people I know reach for the inhaler and have to sit down if they walk behind someone smoking on the sidewalk. Losing the ability to breath in one of these attacks is a seriously scary thing. Myself, if I sit next to a person smoking outside, the next day I am coughing like I have bronchitis. I happen to live in a place (Vancouver) where we are lucky enough to have very clean air for a city, both pollution and smoking wise. When I travel to Europe, I my lungs definitely feel it for the first little while until I get used to it - but is getting used to it necessarily a good thing? Those are horsetail ferns and you don't want them! They will take over everything and you will NEVER EVER be able to get rid of them! I have been battling them since I moved into my house 10 years ago and they are still present and spreading. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Garden Inspiration: Local Nature as a Guide |

If you live below noisy neighbors and own your place, an extra layer of gypsum board on the ceiling will really quiet things down. This isn't cheap or easy, but will make a difference in the long run! Apartment Therapy - Good Questions: A Rug to Buffer the Bass From Our iPod? |
