We do "No-TV Tuesdays" at our house. Its always amazing how the evening just stretches out when the TV is off. We can play, read or color with the kids. Very chill. Its actually more relaxing than zoning out to ipad. And thanks to DVR, we never miss out on anything. Day 11: Try a Media Fast Apartment Therapy January Cure |

Would you not buy bottles if you knew she could use them but you didn't want to encourage formula feeding? Relax. People are going to do what people WANT to do. If you don't want to go, don't. If you want to go, buy her some diapers. Whether or not you buy them, she is still going to use them. You NOT buying diapers for her is not going to decrease the number that she ends up using. :) Frankie say relax Gift Etiquette and Moral Dilemmas Good Questions |

Never had one - but like pp said, we had baby in the room with us early on. And then when he went to his room we share a wall so i didn't need a monitor b/c if he cried it woke me up. With first baby we did the whole video monitor thing and it was great. I think it falls into the whole wipe warmer/pacifier sanitizer department for us. I ditto the bag in the car. Also, I don't always take drink/snacks. Most of the time he is too busy playing to think about it and I end up carrying it. I just bot him a cute backpack from SkipHop (the monkey) that is his size. I always have 2 diapers, small pack of wipes, hand sanitizer. Thats it. The cool thing is that the straps will actually loosen so that i can wear it. I have my keys and wallet pouch so that I can pull it out of my purse and grab my cell and we're gone! Simple solution - use a cute cover, but then i would use a plain white cloth diaper to lay the baby on. if it got dirty, i just pulled another cloth diaper out to put on top! Are Changing Pad Covers Necessary? | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
