This is probably the nicest study I've seen. It's so lovely and cosy, especially the sleeping area. Shelby's Sophisticated Studio Loft House Tour |

I like the apartment. As for the dog, he's adorable, but, and I don't mean this to sound bitchy, he's really overweight. I was guilty of letting my boxer pug cross get too fat myself so I'm not judging, but all that weight is very hard on his heart and joints. Design Star Antonio Ballatore's Downtown Loft House Tour |

Zen? There's is nothing Zen about the decor in this home. I did enjoy the tour, though, and I do like to see the odd big fancy house in AT. Howard Bragman's Contemporary Laurel Canyon Home House Tour |

I don't know about the knotty pine. The before look was not nice at all, but perhaps the wood could have been stained in a different colour. Before & After: Lisa DIY Kitchen Rehab |

I love the fact that you kept the cabinets. It just shows what a good paint job and some new hardware can accomplish. What a waste of money it would have been to replace them. Well done! Before & After: Vanessa's Lovely Galley Kitchen Renovation This & That |

I agree that the decor is a bit challenging but I appreciate the whimsical quality of it. The main thing I'm having a hard time with is the "landscape" painting above the sofa -- my mother and grandparents had one. Retro and kitsch can be good, but in this case, the painting really is pretty hard on the eyes and it is the focal point in the room. Why not substitute it for a more worthy landscape painting like a Turner? That way you could still play on the "horrible" 70s sofa painting, while having something pleasing to look at. I like the space, but I'm not a fan of the decor. There are some nice elements, but it seems very much like a work in progress. Dante's Simple & Sophisticated Style House Call |

I agree with b77 -- each of the rooms is nice, but decorated differently. There is little personality in any of them and no flow or coherence overall. Lisa's Large-Scale Project House Call |

I agree edmarch. There are lots of good elements, but together they seem kind of random. The space its self is interesting and beautiful. Paul & Isa's Canadian Contemporary Loft House Tour |

It's a great budget reno. I like both the back splash and the black board wall, but not together. I would instead choose paint colours that tie in with the back splash and get some nice hardware. Before & After: Dated Kitchen Transformation |

This is a nice home, but, ultimately, it's pretty generic and underwhelming for that of a designer. Edyta's Modern with a Dab of Drama Home House Tour |

Church and Wellesley is definitely downtown and this apartment is obviously in a very generic toronto high rise -- the parquet floor is a dead give-away. The decor is really well done -- quite modern but still very warm. I particularly like the use of the natural looking wall paper on the two small walls. It adds dimension to the room, and highlights the interesting angels, without be overwhelming the space. Patrick's Woodsy Chic Condo House Tour |

I love the makeover, but hate the giant letters -- they're too big and overwhelming for the space and they have a cold industrial feel. Before & After: A New Angle on the Bedroom |

That's quite the pose in the tall chair photo. I noticed that it has some sort of porcelain basin built-in? What is up with that? Is it a birthing chair? A commode? Whatever it is meant to be, it's just gross. Furniture Fit for a Vampire by Carmela Laganse |
