I read that article, have been a vegetarian since I was 10, had cats since I was 5, and no way in he|| would I try to make my cats vegetarians! Who would think cats that catch mice and birds were ever supposed to be vegetarians?

Glad to hear bunnies can be affectionate animals, though.

I don't necessarily like lace curtains, but those kitties are CUTE!

they are ugly if you get the standard crap from Home Depot or Lowes, but there are some nice ones out there. And they increase energy efficiency. Those crappy chandeliers HGTV and TLC shows don't do that.

OK, that is kitty heaven!

My cats when they were babies loved the pen caps that fell on the floor (hardwood) or were on the edge of the table or metal Pellegrino lids (kitty hocky). My mom would make yarn balls and SEW them to keep them from unravelling and 11 years later, we still have them! Cashmere loves the CatDancer with the paper ends, Macchiato loves the feather on the end of a bendy pole. My dad got those--the kiddies will play with anything free!

When my mom was little, they had a goat and it fell in to the well. Her middle brother went down and rescued it.

Her brothers and she are my heroes.

Her older brother went to work at 11 to support the family when their dad was paralyzed by a stroke. He went on to become a teacher and taught many, many kids math and helped them get into colleges around the world. When he ended up with pancreatic cancer, diagnosed in 1998, his former students cared for him and he lived to 2005. Don't know this for a fact, but I think he broke the record for living with pancreatic cancer. He continued to tutor while he was sick, and I think what he paid out in teaching and helping teenagers is what was paid back to him. Whatever that is should be bottled up and given to people...good karma.

We all could use some.
