Sorry, several days later and I like it even less, not simply because of the clutter but because as a DC resident, I really identified with the east coast aesthetic of AT NY.

Plus, while it's always cool--and always was possible, with the old site--to see what's up in other AT site cities, it's discouraging, for example, to see notice of some interesting happening only to then see that the happening is 3,000 miles away. Or to read of an interesting store, to visit when in NYC, only to realize the post is out of AT LA.

The site seems so jumbled, jumping from place to place to place, all across the counrty, from post to post..... I feel disconnected.....

Red Clover (Trifolium pratense). Generally considered a weed, and pretty invasive in rural areas, but I often find them growing along edges of parking lots and other neglected city spaces. I pick a few and put them in a little jar on my desk. Reduces future weeds outside, brightens my space inside.

Sharper Image Ionic Breeze. As weary as I am of their endless infomercials, I bought one (after a freind lent me his for a week to test its effectiveness) and am amazed at how effective it's been at eleminating all kinds of odors (including smoke).
