I think this is very clever, and if I were still living in London or NY, I would absolutely buy one.

Tasmin - I disagree on the "lighter weight stroller" comment. I have a Phil and Teds and when it's packed with a diaper bag and both of my children (together weighing 55 pounds), it is incredibly difficult to push up and down curbs AND carry an umbrella at the same time.

foodefafa - have you visited a Starbucks lately? Cake pops have even made the menu there.

The realist in me, however, is very intrigued to meet the sophisticated 5-year-old boy who would prefer an "apple of my eye" theme for his birthday party over the aforementioned pirates (or cars, etc.) theme.

This is one of my go-to quick-fix desserts! I usually use a combo of vanilla and coffee ice cream, then crumble a few amaretti biscuits and top with hot espresso. I like to let my guests pour their own espresso over the dessert at the table.
