Emergency services workers ARE trained to look in cupboards - often little kids will hide in a cupboard in an emergency. But yeah, I'd be worried about ventilation etc.

I think Ikea have some beds around that size.

We have actually just got a bed made up in 2'6 by 6'2 size. Standard single bed length but 6 inches narrower. It's an old UK size (narrow single) and fits perfectly in our boys shared room as it's the same width as the cot.

With a bit of shopping around I managed to find an innerspring mattress to fit. That 6 inches sounds small - but once there are two beds in there of that size it will allow an extra foot between the beds.

Sprout design have a bicycle fabric in red and blue. They also have fabric with roads on it.

Could work:

Hmmm, I find them quite ugly, and honestly, if all the toys are zipped up into a seat - them why not just get rid of the toys in the first place?

We removed the doors on ours sons wardrobe to allow more space in the room. There are built in drawers in the bottom, then a row of baskets, then hanging space then another row of baskets.

It works really well. I have thought of a curtain but have never got around to it.

My 2 and a half year old has pulled the clothes out of the drawers once or twice... but he'd be able to open the doors anyway so no big deal really.

I live in Australia in a small house. Our laundry is in a cupboard off our meals area (part of open plan kitchen) - so the washing machine is behind doors on the other side of the room from the food prep area. I do however, use the table as a place to fold washing. No big deal, unless we get behind with the washing - with two under two that happens more than I'd like!

They looked white to me at first glance, but they are a grey shade are they? In that case, if you can, paint them the same shade as the walls in a semi gloss. Get some of that cling stuff to reduce the reflection if you really need to but otherwise - I'd leave them!
