The French press is better suited for single-cup coffee making because the coffee continues to steep in the hot water even after you put the plunger down. However, if you pour off the coffee to your guests right after the 3 min. steep, things should be okay. Pity the laggard who decides later they want a cup...theirs will be much, much stronger. I make espresso, French press, and drip coffee at home. Any advice for wrangling my collection of coffee-making apparati?
