a) They have a wine fridge below the counter that will store bottles on their sides, and b) this only makes a difference if you are planning on cellaring bottles for long periods of time. Most wine is not made to be aged, and it will not suffer for being stored upright for a while. Before & After: From Closet to Wine Bar The Sweeten |

My boyfriend and I both got one, and we have one more order pending with B&N to try and get a third to use as a gift for my mom (she wants an e-reader, and a $99 tablet is cheaper than the cheapest Kindle!). We're both signed up with SlickDeals.net, though, and had alerts through them for "hp touchpad" which is how we knew where to order the ones we did. HP Touchpad $99 Firesale: Did You Get One? I've been working on my bathroom a lot lately, and ended up taking the etagere out, because the bathroom is so tiny that the etagere makes it feel cluttered. I just installed some undersink storage that is helping, but it's still my least favorite room in the apartment. I think I'm going to end up doing all white linens to try and give the room a more open and airy feel (of course the bathroom doesn't have a window). When I finally had to break down and relinquish my Texas vehicle registration, I cleaned up one of the Texas plates and am using it as art over my stove since it's the only thing the cooking surface won't damage :) The boyfriend (also a Texan) loves it, too. Does Your Home Have Hometown Pride? |

ChrisGal - I was just about to comment on that. That first display makes the archivist in me shudder. Take photos to the machine in Walgreens/CVS/wherever and have copies made if you want to do that - don't ruin your original photos. Ideas for Displaying Photos Without Using Frames |

I switched to a powdered detergent to a) save money and b) make easier portions for individual loads. I have 3 Ziplocs that are reserved for individual measured loads. I put my fabric softener in Downy balls, which can also be portioned out beforehand. 5 At Home Laundry Tips For Laundromat Users |

A black and white photo essay in the shape of upside-down U around the TV would look pretty cool. Black frames with white mats and B&W photos always look beautiful (or color photos for that matter), and having a narrative arrangement around the TV would be interesting. 5 8x10 photos with the extra frame space around them wouldn't be too much work or expense. My last move was a nightmare - I had 3 weeks to move from Michigan to New Mexico, and the moving company moved my date back 3 times - when I got back from apartment hunting I found out I had 36 hours to pack up everything I own (so that it could all sit in storage for 3 weeks, it turns out - my stuff didn't get to New Mexico until after I'd been living there more than 2 weeks - NEVER use Infinity Movers). I did it - without sleep, with a smidge of caffeine. I'm still not quite sure how I pulled it off, though. Normally I am super organized when it comes to moving, but this last time, I didn't have the luxury. What Does Your Moving Style Say About You? | Apartment Therapy DC |

For those of us who don't live near an Ikea (the closest one to me is more than 500 miles away in Tempe), is an equivalent shelving system available in some place like Lowes/Home Depot/etc? I'm a librarian (tons of books) and I would love love love to get them out of boxes and up off of the floor. Affordable and Adjustable Open Shelving | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |
