Actually, the CB2 versions we got are exactly the ones shown above from Crate & Barrel, which makes sense since they're the same company. We bought them several years ago so they were much cheaper!

I bought my C-tables at CB2 and love them! They were very similar to ones at Room & Board but cheaper (around $90). Not sure if they still have them. We eat in front of the TV all the time (I know, bad!) and use them in place of TV trays which I hated. Sometimes it gets a little crowded because they're smallish, but they're perfect for our needs.

@thorndale We added felt strips that stick onto the bottom so they don't scratch the hardwood.

We made lots of little changes to improve our kitchen, including many of the ones listed above. It's not my dream kitchen, but it has come a long, long, LONG way since we first moved in. The little details/improvements are on my Bungalow Chronicles blog here.

We also completely changed the layout of our kitchen using the existing cabinets. The Kitchn Cure was a big help for me a few years ago, and once that was over and everything was in place I then painted the generic oak cabinets. The evolution of our kitchen is described in our Before/After.

My project is going to take much more than a few hours, but I'm going to do it anyway: convert a closet into a desk/bill-paying area. In addition to adding shelving, I need to refinish the woodwork in it, repair some holes in the plaster walls and paint it.

I planned to do this project before I joined the Cure so I'm hoping AT will keep me motivated! I'm blogging about it on my houseblog too!

marmite: Thanks! I'm pretty sure I bought the stemware rack from IKEA, although I couldn't find it on their web site. But I'm sure any type of organization store (we have The Container Store here) has something similar. This one simply hooks over the shelf, but I also have one in another spot that screws to the bottom of the shelf.

Wow, thanks for highlighting my kitchen cure! I must admit that this project was already on the short list, but the Kitchen Cure really inspired me to get it done sooner rather than later. For additional photos, I am also on Flickr here: deniseandpete.

yes, michelleb is correct: those are IKEA Ekby Järpen shelves in birch veneer with Bjärnum brackets -- they're very sturdy and easy to clean!
