Within 18 months, the seat on the dual flush Duravit Happy D, no longer stays up (the lid does). Warranty's only good for a year (5 years for ceramic part), so have to buy either replacement hinges ($35) or a new seat/lid (about $100). So glad about this post. Last spring I submitted a Good Questions about the horizontal wall light above the bed but it was never posted. Have been trying to find something similar since I stayed at Condesa two years ago. The fixture was made specifically for the hotel so is not commercially available. It is hardwired but has two on/off pulls for right and left sides. Lighting stores here say the closest thing would be a fluorescent bar like the kind above hospital beds, which isn't the look I'm going for. Any suggestions (apart from getting one custom made?) Park Slope Plumbing Supply (718-832-0400; 601 5th Ave.) I went to Smolka, Blackman, Decoware, Home & Stone and Home Depot. PSPS gave me contractor's prices and in some cases, matched lower prices I found elsewhere. Mark was patient and knowledgeable, and found the Jado product I wanted when the company told me it would be out of stock for three months.
