Mandervince: I live in a small apartment near Seattle, Washington and air dry my clothes on two collapsible t-top ironing boards with the fabric covers removed; some laying flat, most draped over hangers hung around the board's perimeter. High surface/hanging area to floor space ratio. And I didn't need to buy anything I didn't already own. Working well over 2 years now and didn't need to modify the walls (rental). ladybug5: I also live in a small apartment, and air dry. One method I use weekly to air dry clothes [or wash cloths] in my apartment is a t-top ironing board with the fabric cover removed. If I'm drying too many items to lay them all flat I drape them over a hanger and hang these around the perimeter. This works best with diamond patterned boards vs solid-top.
