Love Missoni patterns. The simplicity of the pattern with all that color is genius. Color Me Missoni: Missoni in the Home Inspiration Gallery |

Simplicity may be best as too much alteration can look too DIY. I would have the panels lined and add a thick (2") trim on the leading edge. Simple and beautiful. Ideas for Customizing Store Bought Curtain Panels? Good Questions |

I just specified grout for two bathrooms I am working on. Did a slightly darker grey, but not dark by any means. Grout just seems to be a necessary evil, too light is hard to keep clean and too dark looks dirty. I try to go a few shades lighter or darker than the tile. It is important to balance your home, so you may want to reconsider blue (maybe with a hint of purple for warmth). Also, with all the colors in the rest of the house, it may be a good to leave the bathrooms very neutral - again about balance and not over saturating your house in color. Pale grey would seem to fit your requirements. Bathroom Paint Colors to Coordinate with Rest of Decor? Good Questions |

Depends on how far your sofa is from the tv/desk, if you are sitting on the sofa and the height of tv on the desk is not bothersome (you are not forced to look up too much) - it works! It is a beautiful piece and I would not alter the legs. Will Vintage Desk Work as a TV Stand? Good Questions |

I would go with a saturated color, don't by shy. A deep lavender-grey or dark blue-grey would bring out the architectural details that are important in a small space and make your home feel more important. Fill your fireplace up with cut logs, birch for a little more sophistication. Its always good to bring nature into your design. Instead of refinishing your floors give them a couple coats of Minwax Tung Oil and it leaves even the most worn floors shiny and fresh. I just did it in my house. Good luck! Overstock.com has some great rugs. I have purchased two indoor rugs from them and have been pleased with the quality. One rug even came from a well-known designer vendor. I can only imagine that their outdoor rugs would be equally as good. 18 Bold and Affordable Outdoor Rugs! | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

I love a good cocktail tray, they are a luxury, but a simple and easy to accomplish luxury. The tray reminds me of an older, simpler time. It is the transition from your workday to home and everyone needs a little decompressing. Break Out The Cocktail Cart | Apartment Therapy DC |

The wood is what should stand out, not the paint color. I would paint the walls a benjamin moore super white. You could also whitewash the bricks to tone it down and brighten it up. This look is classic, but also popular right now. Get some worn tobacco- colored leather furniture and use sisal and jute rugs. Plus take down that plain mirror above the fireplace and put a more decorative. Paint to Brighten a Room With Dark Woodwork? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy New York |
