Colorful nursery! I'm awaiting the exciting arrival of my first nephew in October! Congrats to you both! (and I'm sure your nursery will only gain even more personality in the future!)

We had a Brazilian cherry wood floors in our first home, with darker cabinetry in the kitchen. They were actually very easy to maintain and looked lovely together. I completely understand not wanting wood color tones that are too close, but in this case they were different enough to blend nicely. Light colored walls, stainless steel appliances, and lots of natural light certainly helped it feel bright inside.

I wish there was an after shot of the outside of the front of the house. It's such an undertaking to do all the alterations on an old home, but clearly-it is rewarding! Job well done!

I'd love to hear more tips about moving overseas--- We have minimized as much a possible and now we will be embarking on our journey in less than two months. This will probably be one of many back and forth movings, but since it's our first...we'd like to hear form the experts.

So far our home is under contract, and we have sold all but one car. We have sold/given away all of our furniture, but still will be shipping our child's toys and other non-furniture items. We have gotten several quotes for port-to-port deliveries, but have not settled on a moving company yet.

When we arrive we will be renting for a month before settling on a permanent home, and interviewing American schools for our child. My husband is actually moving back to his "home" country, but I've only visited a few times. Any suggestions on how to adapt?

I just downloaded it for my three year-old, and he loves it loves it! colorful graphics and all about cleaning around your home!

I'd love to know a good cleaning solution also, but I think there may not be one!! I agree with other parents who have decided to avoid these kinds of bath toys. There are so many other options that are BPA free and can be sanitized. My son's favorite are the stacking cups with holes in the bottom allowing water to stream out.

I think it's the green accents, (the plants, the table) that really make this nice and unique.

Besides that.. you wouldn't even have to get a changing table. You could use a changing pad and keep your supplies next to your bed. I never used a changing table and got a tall 6 drawer dresser instead which we shared for clothes storage. Save the money for your new home!

It really helps to have some kind of box or basket inside the drawer like the examples mentioned above. Newborn clothes are so tiny and don't always stack well when traditionally folded. It's always a puzzle to reorganize the clothes as they get bigger to fit the drawer! Also I had a three drawer dresser and didn't need all three until my son was into the 18 months 2t sizes. I used the bottom drawer for extra diaper or toy storage.
