I had read that NY Times article as well and had the same thoughts about this being illegal. How do you find out if a listed property is legal to be rented for a week or not? Will the property owners tell you? If they have several properties for rent (like the one in this post), does that mean they are somehow licensed to do that? I'm very curious as these apartments are gorgeous and it does seem like a great way to visit. Gorgeous Vacation Rentals in the Heart of Paris | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

Technically - it is two x-long twin beds that equal a king size bed because a king is 80" long and a regular twin is only 75". (Kings usually have two xl twin box springs, because one box spring that size would be very difficult to get into a room!) I think your idea would still work for an impromptu big bed though, Sherry. Anna, love the place! I just wanted to suggest a cat-friendly plant for you since you said you were looking for one. I just got a beautiful plant for my birthday called a Calathea - they come in a few color variations, but the one I have has purple on the back sides of the leaves and I love it! For those loving the mustache key holder - I'm gonna take a stab at that and assume they got it at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn. They're made by Ben Floeter and you can get them at his Etsy shop here: Small Cool 2010: Annie Paul's Slow Upgrade Teeny Tiny Division #21 | Apartment Therapy New York |

Michael, I haven't sat in that particular one, but I bought the Avec sofa from CB2 & love it. I'm 6' and it's more than long enough for me to lay down on & stretch out. It's not the deepest or most cushy sofa though, but I did sit on the Movie sofa from CB2 & it's really nice & deep and I think w/ some throw pillows it would be really comfy. I'd probably recommend trying to sit in it before buying it, but you could also check on their return policy in case you get it delivered and aren't in love with it. Reviews of the CB2 Bolla Sofa? Agreed that #3 & #8 are full size beds, but am I the only one that thinks #1 might be as well? It's hard to tell from the angle, but it just seems wider than a twin. Living Single: The Best of Single Twin Beds | Apartment Therapy New York |

Tarynevelyn - it looks like the Malm bedframe to me too. I actually don't even think it has a custom back piece - it just looks to me like a low-height wall that the bed is up against. Could just be the angle of the picture, but see how the wall continues past the foot of the bed? Studio Bed Idea: L-Shaped Headboard | Apartment Therapy New York |

So excited to see this post! I got the Avec sofa from CB2 about 2 months ago and I love it! I've always loved tufting and I love the neutral grey - I'd been looking for a sofa for a long time, but knew I wanted the Avec as soon as I saw it. It's what has inspired me to start putting some serious work into making my apartment more of a home. Also in love with the Anthropologie pillows (no surprise there) and really surprised by the pricing of Target's! They're almost as much as Anthro's! Extra Seating: Colorful Floor Pillows Small Space Solutions | Apartment Therapy DC |

Megan, I was going to ask how much you thought you would use a dining table. For myself, I would probably find adding a kitchen island for additional work surface and storage w/ seating as part of that more practical and functional for the space. Could be built-in or a more cost-effective & flexible piece of furniture. Ideas for Laying Out this Long Room? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

SketchUp has its own tutorials built in as well if you want to learn more about it, and as Idcinlb pointed out, there are tons of tutorials on youtube. wunami, I have one of those tiny pans and I love it! I like to whip up a little ham, egg & cheese on an english muffin in the mornings to eat on my commute and it is perfect! It makes frying/scrambling the egg simple & it comes out the perfect size for my sandwich. That is pretty much the only thing I use it for, but it doesn't take much room to store, it's simple to clean, and mine was definitely less expensive than that one. I think really nice towels are just one of those things that are worth the price. Several years ago I worked at Pottery Barn for a while and everyone told me - make sure you buy some towels, they are great and just get better with each wash. I did and those towels are still my everyday towels probably 4 years later. They are still soft and fluffy and I love them. Also, for all the previous posters that have had this complaint - I'm not sure why some towels bleach out and others don't, but to be on the safe side you should just use a white towel for your face because a lot of face washes have chemicals that bleach out towels. Again, when I worked at Pottery Barn, people would sometimes return the dark towels because that had happened, but I've never personally had that problem. Also, to failsjofails, about your towel not absorbing much water - do you use fabric softener on your towels? Fabric softener reduces the water absorbency of towels because it builds up on them. You should wash them without softener at least every other time. Okay, that's all my towel tips for today! Solid Color Bath Towels Roundup | Apartment Therapy New York |
