In order to not waste water, I use a very slow drip. This increases the defrost time, but keeps the water circulating. That would be a tip from Alton Brown, and it seems to work very well. Kitchen Shortcut: How to Thaw Meat Quickly | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |
