I purchased the FitBit One ($99 on Amazon) 2 months ago. I chose it because it is easy to read in dark places, it tracks sleep & I really like the display. It's actually smaller than my pinky finger. I didn't really think tracking my sleep was important but once I started doing that I realized how little sleep I was getting (working, college, 2 year old, family, church...you all know the busy drill) & how it was affecting my day to day life in a negative way. The FitBit has caused me to try harder to be more active & I've even started walking the stairs at work several times per day to reach my goals. I'm not good at logging my food but I'm not good at it with a pen & paper or any other method either. The FitBit Flex is coming out soon (Slated for May) but I didn't like the lack of display screen so I can check my stats whenever I like however this likely wouldn't be a problem for iPhone users (or similar) since it syncs up. The FitBit isn't perfect but I really do like it & overall it meets my needs.

I love parents who play offense instead of defense. WTG Mom! :) Go ahead & prevent the "problem" before you have to deal with it.

I've done the majority of my college classes online. They, for the most part, are more work. I suppose teachers want to be positive students are learning & reading so the quizzes & exams are structured in a way that ensures this to an extent. However, I really like not having to drive across town & sit in a class for 2 hours. It's worth it to me to buckle down & do the work at home.

Yeah I'm wondering about the Canon also. It's why I clicked on the article to start with.

I'm sure there are others but based on the one above, no. I don't want my son looking at a crying child. It seems eerie.

^ So....I guess you've never done anything that anyone else has done? Lay off, it's her baby & her party. I can't wait to see pictures of the commerical Dora the Explorer party you do for your kid complete with Wal-Mart purchased Dora table cloths.

I bought the Melissa & Doug set for my LO on sale earlier this year for like $10 w. free shipping. I'm patiently waiting for the little guy to grow into the set so I can give it to him.

"I realize that they were perhaps making an even greater sacrifice carting us around to more cultural and educational places. That would be much more difficult than laying in a lazy river!"

^ Yeah, my 9 month old really isn't into art galleries & wine tastings. We do things for our son. Not drag him around every vacation to crap he doesn't want to do or see just because we want to do whatever we want. Everyone in our family is considered when it's vacation time.

Some of that just looks like a cluttered mess. It can be "organized" but it still looks messy.

We stayed at a place in Panama City Beach last May with out 9 month old. The indoor lazy river was the best thing ever! We could put him in his infant swim gear (And all helpful floatie attachments) & he "floated" between mine & DH's tubes safely. He felt like a big boy & we were able to relax. Our room wasn't amazing but it was clean, comfy & had an ocean front balcony. We'd for sure stay there again!

For everyone that's so concerned about those that unfortunately go without food, when's the last time you volunteered at a soup kitchen or donated some cash to the cause? It's easy to judge other people for using $3 worth of dried rice but I wanna know what YOU are doing to help feed the hungry.

My 1 year old son's favorite toy at the moment is a half empty plastic water bottle. It crackles under his pudgy hands & he teeths on the end where the cold water can get to his gums.

Why do you care so much? It's not your yard, your time or your money so who cares? As long as an effort is made to keep a yard tidy I'm happy. Everyone is different & that sould be expressed.
