I know one thing from reading for just a few days is that I seemed to have stumbled upon the Dana and Paladin Mutual Admiration Club.

If I were a neighbor of this farm, I would be nervous all the time. As a mother of a child who may or may not be allergic to bee stings, I would worry about the number of bees in the neighborhood. When the farm decides to add even more bees on its two-acre plot, I'd get stressed. Yes, this farm could potentially be a factor of stress to those who live around it. Bee stings hurt. Bees cannot be contained to the satisfation of those fearful of bees. Bees cannot be trained to not sting. People kill insects all the time. It doesn't take "meditation" to figure out why the bees were killed.

I do not condone breaking the law or killing all the insects.

@DanaV:
First of all, this entry does not say anywhere that it's an oped [sic] and second, if you publish something that provides a place for people to comment, you should not critize them.

St@cy brings up good points. If you want to help your farm, then think about those points, cold-hearted as they may be.

Good lord, get a grip.

The fastest way is to grab a bunch with one hand. Snap the stem ends off with the other hand. I worked in a restaurant and one person could prepare a whole crate's worth of beans using this method pretty quickly. It takes way too long to line up your beans on a cutting board.

My old kitchen had a drawer for flour. The drawer was lined with metal and had a tight-fitting, sliding lid (metal also). It was easy to keep clean.

I saw a show on PBS about how a raw-food diet greatly improved the health of a type-1 diabetic. This person's diet seemed far from tasty, and seemed to lack a lot of variety. He was a busy person and prepared all his meals himself. I can see the benefits, but I agree that on a normal budget, a raw diet would be hard to make enjoyable.

I find this distracting. If the two colors are closer in value, this concept may work.

The original is pretty ugly. The desk looks great. I would have made it so that the inside short legs weren't necessary.

It looks a little depressing to me. I'd prefer a tent. I'd feel safer in a professionally set-up tent.

I use antibacterial cleaner to clean after prepping raw meats. I keep the bleach out of the kitchen so it won't get accidentally mixed with antibacterial cleaner.

I also can't stand the eggy smell. In our kitchen, anything that has touched egg has to be quarantined to prevent contaminating other dishes with the awful smell. The only thing I found that works is to scrub the dishes and pans with soap and the hottest water possible. Then scrub everything again with soap and the coldest water possible.

The reason behind this phenomenon is not truly a topic for discussion because it is a scientific fact. What seems to be discussed here is whether the twitching legs freak people out or not. You can't fault sunnyteigh for wondering why one would email a website and then wait for the answer rather than doing a search immediately. I think this topic is just presented in a haphazard way.

Homemade is so much better than restaurant-made. I find that restaurant versions have way too much oil.

I like to add a little chopped ginger and lots of freshly ground black pepper to the mix.

I can't make out what the first two sentences mean. What does it mean to always eat dinner after 10:30pm? Did Kate have neglectful parents? Which one was "raised amidst gastronomic overload"? Why is Cameron paying the price for the "gastronomic overload"? Whatever; seems one or both have huge chips on their shoulders about cooking.

Technically, this is not a pickled dish. Pickles go through a fermentation process. Although tasty, this dish is not the same as Japanese pickled cucumber.

Hello AT writers, we can't read your minds. I have been a little confused more than once reading articles on this site.

No matter what the background for this entry is, "new" does not apply to creme fraiche.
