Flik Flak (made by Swatch) is really great for learning to tell time.

Here is a link to a wall clock:

There's also a wide range of table top clocks...just look up "flik flak clock" on google.

(They also make the cutest watches!! I used to collect them when I was in my 20s)

I hope this helps. :)

Gorgeous and fun but I think the possibility of losing a car...or finding cars all over the house would drive me nuts.

We've survived with just 2 fitted sheets during the last two years but we've been pretty lucky that our boy hasn't been sick or had a diaper accident in that time (ok...he once got sick and we ended up having to put him in the travel cot)

I really like the layering idea, though. I think we'll have to try that when my son starts potty training (if he's EVER ready!!)

Neat....but think of all the dirt that could get stuck in the groves.

Where is the Peepee Teepee on that list? It totally deserves a place. :)

They do look fun and interesting...but they probably taste gross.

The only thing we bought that was on that list was a diaper bag (and we got it after he was born...I was using a regular messanger bag before). I used it up until my son was about one but we could have lived without it. Great list!....and yeah...what's with the Peepee Teepees? Weird!

That room is not what I would choose but perhaps it is only used for sleeping. There could be a magnificent playroom somewhere in the house...or maybe they spend all day exploring outside.

Things my mother taught me:

* Only buy it if you love it
* If you think you love it, leave it and continue shopping. You might find something you love even more....and if you don't, then you've had time to think about the original item. Do you still love it? Is it worth the money?

Also, I always seem to 'own' things while in the store and end up putting them back. I've had a £20 gift voucher for a home store for months now and I can't seem to spend it. I want to make sure I get something really great (or something that's actually needed). The sales people must think I'm crazy because I keep coming in, carrying throw pillows around, then putting them back and leaving without buying anything.

I also wonder why this is getting so much press right now. I took an astronomy class many, many years ago and my teacher talked about all of this stuff way back then.

Oh, how I love the word "rad." You brought a smile to my face...and the books really are rad. I can't wait until my little guy is older.

I can see how this gadget could offer some reassurance to new parents while "sleep training" but as someone who didn't attempt it, I don't really see the need for this. Plus, once the baby can self-soothe it seems like it wouldn't be used anymore...making it a bit of a money waster.
