It's not that I am dead set on using an auto body shop, I want to achieve a high gloss lacquer effect on a wood credenza and have seen many pieces that have been refinished this way and the results were uniform and very nice. I am also a huge fan of those chairs and like the idea of mixing those chairs with a wooden table for a different texture feel...and I really like the bottom wood table that you posted.
