You have a pair of really lovely ladder back chairs with arms that I would love to steal. However I don't really understand the fence in the kitchen or what the purpose of the room that you are sitting in. I suppose a floor plan might have helped. You own all the right elements.. however I think some of the rooms need re organising of the furniture. and I agree more artwork, even if its a framed poster, It feels a bit like hotel rooms to me Mary's Georgetown Haven House Tour |

As an East coast person I agree with the love of California, the sense of light and the climate warms this cold soul. I do love all the stuff in the house and even the quirky house, however I find it a tad dyslexic with hard and pointy edges. It seems to be missing come kine of cohesion and warmth. Glad you dint restore the original woodwork which can be so dark and oppressive to live in. The house looks great I wish my craftsmen had a second floor! The best thing about the houses are the windows ( and the details and the elegance) I consider mine a fishbowl. Clare & Thierry's 1905 Echo Park CraftsmanHouse Tour |

I was so afraid this would be MODERNISED ! but you kept all the best features, the wainscotting is fabulous all over. Your project was so sensitively done. When ever you leave you leave the perfect bones of the building. You have done a perfect job. Alexandra & Eliot's 1890's Farmhouse House Tour |

Yup Looks good, However I cant see how the main counter ties in with the dinning room, unless they are two separate rooms and its not an island, and what are the cupboards underneath it? what are the materials that are under the wood? Kitchen Tour: Sara and Tom's Cooking Wonderland |

Finally a house that is not over thought, and over designed. Having said that everything flows well and all the furnishings and decor work really well together and has just the right feel of a lived in house. Its too bad the more designy ones cant achieve this warmth. My Parents' Beloved Lake House House Tour |

I love seeing a place that is not overly self conscious, that it begins to have its own life of natural organization ( aside from the shirts) But all the things you can see have been chosen with and good eye and a sense of humor Learning to Love Your Home: Take an Apartment Journey |

After over 30 years of being on my own, or with a partner,, I learned the best filing system for me! I cannot see file folders, let alone see what is in them, or you are on your knees trying to find the right one. Last year I worked for Red Cross and they had a huge filing system that worked the best I have ever seen, and now use it my self, small version: big, two ring, filing books with the snap down bar on 8 Things That Would've Made Adulthood Easier |
