I read an article in he Financial Times of London a while ago about coffee houses in London, and I am certain the term "flat white" meant a double shot of espresso and minimal foam (that's where barista or latte "art" comes into play). That's how I make my cappuccinos at home.

After a 3 month total gut and remodel of our kitchen my husband and I agree that we should have moved out of our house during that process. We both found it very difficult. We are, however, LOVING our new kitchen!

My friend had this book. I owned Conran's "HOUSE" book, which I eventually sold at a garage sale. What a stupid thing for me to do. Both of these books are wonderful and still (and possibly forever) relevant.

Wow... my mother's cousin started Amana. It has, of course, over the last several decades had several different ownerships. I don't think this is anything he ever would have imagined!

I bought a huge, old French biscuit poster from the 30's and have it in my dining room (I can see it from my kitchen). It's fabulous! The graphics are great. I wish I could purchase more of them.

I am renovating my 30 year-old kitchen this spring. I'm doing carrara marble counters, counter to ceiling marble subway tiles in a herringbone pattern and 5-foot marble shelves on giant iron brackets. I'm a baker and I want it to have the feel of a French patisserie. It's going to be my dream kitchen.
