yeah, that sounds great, but I wonder when will I get streaming in Puerto Rico. They can mail me the DVDs but not let me watch streaming? I don't get it.

Maybe not for parties, but for a simple cold dessert after dinner. Lately I've taken a liking to gelatin after years of hating it.

This looks awesome!
Now my question is, could I substitute the couscous with quinoa?

In my home we eat them with two fried eggs. We like to dip the plantains in the eggs.

It looks like "Tocino". At least in my home, my mom makes an awesome rice mixed with tocino.

Eggs!

As a child my mom cooked eggs for me and my brother so many times that I would get nauseous when I ate them. But one day at culinary school I ate Eggs Benedict and my love for everything eggs returned.

I wish the Asparagus was that cheap in Puerto Rico. I would eat it everyday.

I feel guilty about buying magazines most of the time, because I'm always thinking that each magazine comes from a tree. But at the same time i love sitting down and reading them, I find reading them electronically kinda weird.

I've discovered that when I'm on a diet what works best for me is to keep a journal of all the things I eat and how many calories I consume. I discovered that I was easily eating the double the calories I'm supposed to eat on a daily basis; but once I began to use the diary I would eat less calories without dieting.

I've always loved Cream of Wheat. I usually eat it with sugar and a bit of vanilla extract. I've tried to experiment with it, but there are certain foods that are better left as simple as possible.

A Nintendo DS costs around $120 and they have the Personal Trainer: Cooking for $20... so, I would rather spend my money on a DS than on a glorified youtube filled with recipes from the two hosts I hate the most from the Food Network.

I love making the Helena Ruth Sandwich, originally from Cuba. It just has three magical ingredients inside a nice baguette: Cream cheese, Strawberry Jam and Ham; grill to desired crispiness and enjoy!

I was also taught in Culinary School to use metal spoons, because wood spoons can carry more bacteria. But personally as a home cook I prefer the wood ones for most everything, from making caramel to risotto or oatmeal and I find them easier to clean.

I love pickling eggplants and then doing sandwiches with a crusty baguette, veggies and a thick slice of fresh mozzarella.
