As others have commented, it is stamped asphalt with a color coating and it is most likely streetprint. The color and texture should last for a long time if there isn't much traffic. It will always look cheap and fake IMHO. http://www.streetprint.com/pages/project-gallery Cute & Coveted: Faux Cobblestone Street |

Bravo, Moe and Ryan! You totally captured that vintage Sunset vibe. I have lots of old Sunset books myself. Your home is lovely and the result looks effortless, though I'm sure it was a lot of work. Moe Ryan's Vintage Sunset Inspired HomeHouse Call | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

That's a good quick fix and the party lights are a nice touch. How 'bout an old picnic bench painted red too? It wouldn't take up much room and would make good seating or a table in a pinch. The Power of Distraction Accessories: The Budget Quick-Fix Edition | Apartment Therapy DC |

You have lots of great ideas. I suggest hiring a professional designer (hopefully, a talented landscape architect) to help you realize your vision. Good space planning, the right materials (I like simple materials used in elegant ways) and some great furniture will transform your yard into an oasis. Investing in a plan now will pay off in the long run. You don't need to do it all at once, as tempting as it may be. Designing a Poolscape: Where To Start? | Apartment Therapy Boston |

More pix please! I see influences of Andy Cao's glass garden in Los Angeles (which I find much more moving and complex). I couldn't find any good links to pictures of that garden other than on Andy's website. Amber, I understand your need for a homey and comfortable place that conveys feelings of security and calmness. It's really important to me too. I agree with a lot of the other comments like, bring your "must have" items that are easy to transport. Whenever I move I set up the bed and kitchen first. That way I can sleep and eat well in a time of transition. A sunny (but not hot) apartment will help too. Enjoy your summer! I hear Panama City has lovely beaches. Lovely home. Super cute dogs. The most surprising part of the tour is the owner's quote, "...because I couldn't ask my husband to pay for it again." Now that's traditional. Kristina's Suburban Spare Traditional House Tour | Apartment Therapy Chicago |
