NYC - it never really clears out. April-May and September-October are usually the best months weather wise. Summer is way too hot and humid. Winter too cold. I miss my hometown of SF and would take SF any day of the year!

I agree with most of the comments above. I think this place has great potential, nice layout and some beautiful pieces but it feels so cold and stark. It makes me think utilitarian or dormitory. I am a big fan of minimalism but this is a little too extreme for my tastes. If it were mine I would add curtains, pillows, rugs, bathmat, towels, flowers, plants, more interesting bedding, and some art on the walls.

I love the room except for the no crying poster. Guessing Arden probably can't read yet so maybe its a non-issue.

My dog would LOVE for me to get this refridgerator.

I much prefer the kitchen after the remodel. It looked a little cheesy before. Would I have spent the $$$ to change it if it was my house. Probably not, but I am a cheapskate! Good for this owner though for being willing to put some cash into making their home better suit them. I am sure it increased the resale value a little bit too.

Beautiful room! I love so many elements especially the desk and the across the window shelving and the way you've accesorized the room! I am in totally escape-from-NYC-envy.

This posting makes me want to cry! I would LOVE to sublease a rent controlled apartment in SF (even wiht loud neighbors) but I am not quite ready to move back to SF yet! Any chance you could stay until next summer? Its insane that I live in NYC and the thought of SF rent terrifies me.

Or even NOW - under my desk at work! LOL

I donate shoes, clothes, and housewares in good shape, trash stuff that has seen much better days and sell furniture on Craigslist.

Selling on craigslist just doesn't seem worth all the effort for anything thats going to earn me less than $50.

I have the same SULTAN ALSARP as derekw above linked in the Queen. Now that was a mojor pain to assemble! Took nearly 2 days! But its been great for storage. It weighs a ton and is nearly impossible to move. I had mine on the 7 ince legs to create even more storage unnderneath. That lasted for 2 years until I pushed the bed to mop the floors underneath (as part of the January Cure no less) and one of the legs completely broke off. The frame is now sitting directly on the floor and I actually like it much better. :-D
