we had a ebony coloured wooden floor in our previous bedroom and i wouldn't do it again because of every little crumble of dust you can see on it...It looked good though, for five minutes after cleaning!

i also liked the before tiles better. Such a pity to have them replaced by something that maybe fashionable for now, but will be passé in a few years.

I also was a bit shocked by the pharmacist advising to throw away old medication. I guess it's a European measure to get thoses old chemicals back to the pharmacist for proper recycling.
Doesn't that sound so much more obvious than mixing it with coffee grinds, or do Americans get the jitters from such rules?

I like the fall cure, but couldn't disagree more with the cut flower posts. You have to choose between an ecological cure without the cut flowers or stop the hypocracy and don't mention thoses eco cleaners.

what nonsense: those flowers aren't fresh, they're dead.
Everything is so wrong about buying cut flowers: it's bad for the planet, it's bad for the poor people producing them,...I know you can say that of a lot of things, but buying flowers and throwing them away after a week is really too much decadence.

I used my bike during my pregnancies and can't see anything wrong with that. Okay, I stopped when I was in the last weeks, but really, there's nothing to it.
I'm 30 and have no driving license, although the social pressure gets higher every year, I really don't miss it. It's a question of habit.
Combining trips: if you go to work with your bike and stop on the way for groceries, you can buy yourself some extra chocolates because you have also had your daily moment of physical exercise:-D
