I second the idea to use a different color tape for each room - movers really appreciate it too. Then you can have a rainbow of cheeriness!

As well as a kale salad, black rice side dish, and a couple of types of flatbreads (fig, prosciutto, arugula), (mushroom onion fontina), and of course a plain one. I can get a pretty good prepared dough at our local market and they have a gluten free option as well (we have a few people who can't eat gluten). I'll have some cubed cheese and raw veggies with hummus too. Oh, and cherry pecan cookies!

I'm not sure if the kids will eat much, as in these types of environments they rarely stay in one place long enough, but at least there will be options for them and the parents can eat easily as well.

My goal this fall is to tackle to food in the pantry (not too likely to spoil, but part of my effort to use what we have).

Does anyone know of a good site (or iPhone app) that lets you choose several ingredients to find a recipe? All the ones I know of just let you select one main ingredient.

I'm not sure my daughter would have been at 16mo, but at 21 months we recently took her to high sierra music festival (where we camped on site). She had a blast...but loves a celebration & music. At one time she seemed overstimulated (the music was louder than usual), so we left and found some kids' headphones that were for sale. These were key...she actually loved them & kept them on. They helped her from being bothered by the noise (& of course protected her ears), but also allowed her to nap while we walked her in the stroller around a quiet street. She also fell asleep with them on at night.

It was our first camping experience with her- but all went well, she loved the tent & stayed up late but slept late in the morning (she is typically a pretty difficult sleeper at home). You never know!

Its great in oatmeal and I've been giving it to my baby in her oatmeal or other grains since she started eating solids. Great way to add some fat for kiddos!

I thought about using a mesh bumper but then read that any bumper can be used as a foothold for the baby to climb out of the crib. Of course, this won't happen until he/she can pull up to standing.

I've been happy with using the moby when my baby was 3 months & the ergo when 9 months (no car seat)...time will tell when she is older. I have never been asked to remove the carrier (As a very active baby, it definitely helped to let her crawl before the flight & time flights so they are around nap time.

Also, I like to bring extra anti-bacterial wipes to wipe the armrests, tray, etc. because babies touch everything. Sitting near the back, near the restrooms was great too because not only did people always say hello to her, but I could get up easily and hold her by standing near the restrooms.
