Not only the artificial colors, but I also have a problem with the incorrect cutesy spelling (bak2skool)

Its great in oatmeal and I've been giving it to my baby in her oatmeal or other grains since she started eating solids. Great way to add some fat for kiddos!

what quality of knives require sharpening? I feel as though ours are not worthy (silly, I know) and have been putting it off.

This room is stunning (while still very liveable). Love the branches & camel.

Such a fun room - love the mobile. How did you string the paper circles together, just by sewing them?

Love the peapod overall too, but 2 things I don't like: its a bit awkward putting a sleeping baby inside, and the zipper is loud.

I thought about using a mesh bumper but then read that any bumper can be used as a foothold for the baby to climb out of the crib. Of course, this won't happen until he/she can pull up to standing.

I love this but, wouldn't they be ridiculously heavy?

I've been happy with using the moby when my baby was 3 months & the ergo when 9 months (no car seat)...time will tell when she is older. I have never been asked to remove the carrier (As a very active baby, it definitely helped to let her crawl before the flight & time flights so they are around nap time.

Also, I like to bring extra anti-bacterial wipes to wipe the armrests, tray, etc. because babies touch everything. Sitting near the back, near the restrooms was great too because not only did people always say hello to her, but I could get up easily and hold her by standing near the restrooms.

I have found that a heavy oven mitt works well (this after slicing my palm open). Its soooo easy to have that damn knife slip.

I'll have to look for sandboxes, too...thanks.

I saw the SafeMama list and most of those pools are not available (the combo pool & sandbox is, but its pretty small and expensive).

As a recent new mom, kudos to those who have or will bring food...this is such a huge gift. We didn't get any meals, but the only food gift we received was great = fresh eggs from their own chickens. Oh, and I say don't ask, just bring it (don't stay). We did some of the "oh no, we're fine" when really we should have just accepted anything.

Its a great addition to soups - to make them creamy. I steam some broccoli, add silken tofu, broth, garlic, and any other seasonings. Then, blend it in blender or with immersion blender. Healthy, yummy, creamy soup!

I wonder about using a mattress on floor with a little one, (say 9months +). Would they want to explore the room and play too much & have trouble getting or staying to sleep? (of course, the room would be childproof, but still could be distracting to a curious kid).
