Those of you claiming "it's easy to make it gluten free" must not have tried it. It is not easy in baking to sub things out, certainly not for a big showpiece like a wedding cake. There are some good blogs out there dedicated to gluten/grain free. Some of the best ingredients for good cake texture/taste and gluten free are squashes, and nuts/nutbutters (be careful with peanuts though, or at least warn guests, as peanut allergies can be fatal). As to dairy intolerance, sometimes goat and sheeps milks are more easily tolerated, so could be subbed for either the dairy in a cake, or for the cheese cake idea, which I happen to love.

obleak1- my best dress finds have been in non-traditional dress departments: sleepwear, and maternity. I find they are sometimes more modest than those in sportswear, even though I am not at all pregnant. The sleepwear ones also have the benefit of being lightweight and easy to pack.

Nut butters and squash give these two grain free recipes the right cake texture, and are very forgiving. I like combining them, and playing around with the amount of honey and the amount of chocolate. Cashew butter has the mildest impact and can be subbed in directly for the pb.

A particularly helpful trick I have used is to put rubber bands on the knobs, which get slid onto your wrist when you turn the burner or oven on, and returned to the knob when you turn it off. That way, if the rubber band is on your wrist, you know the burner is still on!
