The one thing I really wanted was the shower curtain, which I had to order online. I thought it would be black & white, but it's more cream than white--not sure if I will keep it or not. I may have my sister-in-law use the fabric to make pillows for my couch.
I also got the hand towels in the fuschia color. Love them!
I bought a large tote in-store, but haven't used it yet and may return it. Now that I see the references to lead in the totes, I need to check the tag. If there's lead in it, it's going back! The one thing I have use, and love, is a melamine plate. It's just cute. And cheap. :)

May I ask where you found the red lamp? LOVE it!!

Also love the subway tile. We did the backsplash around our entire kitchen in black subway tile this summer--in a pretty decent-sized kitchen, the tile came in at less than $60 total. I'd call that a definite budget choice (certainly compared to the glass tile I originally wanted, which would have come in at about $500), and I love how it came out!

Try living here in IA where we have neither TJs, Whole Foods, or IKEA. The farmer's markets are only up and running through the summer/early fall. Not that we don't have access to good, healthy food, but the variety is seriously lacking for most of the year. The closest TJs is 4 hours away, so every time I'm in the Minneapolis area, it's a required stop before we head home. And we have to make sure to go on Saturday, since they can't sell alcohol on Sunday (no 3-buck Chuck?! Why bother even going, then?).
I lived in KC for a few years, back before Whole Foods was there. Back then it was Wild Oats, which was pretty cool...not sure if they're even around any more.
