We eat very chunky salsa or pico de gallo on toasted bread with a little bit of mexican blend cheese. It's like Mexican Bruschetta. It's a yummy twist on a classic dish and makes a great snack.

@rosenatti - I agree with you, I thought they were going to tell us about backing the pictures too! I'm getting ready to move into an apartment with thin walls and I might just have to give it a try.

We don't have any kids small enough to need a gate around our house, but we do have dogs and will have small kids around eventually so we wanted something to do double duty. We bought a gate that's about three feet tall but has a section that opens with a very secure latch and a cat door. It can be tension mounted or it comes with the goods to fix it to the wall. We've got it fixed to the wall and our 70 lb puppy hasn't figured out a way over or through it yet. It was probably pricier than a normal gate but the ability to walk through it is worth it to us. The opening is small enough that puppy can't slip past when you're walking through but wide enough to be comfortable. We got it at a pet store but since we don't have the packaging I don't know what kind it is.

It's a nice idea but at that price (and with the SUPER weird mattress) I would never even consider buying it.

Where would you get sheets?

Since a cupcake is cake I make my determination that way. If I can use the same batter, bake it in a cake pan, frost it, and put candles on top then it's a cupcake. I also think of muffins as naturally flavored and cupcakes as artifically sweet.

I did this using ClosetMaid storage items from Target. My desk is much smaller but it can easily be pulled apart, added to, and reconfigured when I need more space. I have a small bookshelf, four drawers and cupboard and we painted a 2'x6' peice of plywood for the top. The whole project cost about $75 and took one afternoon including the shopping! The ClosetMaid system made a counter height desk so I sit on a stool but I use my desk for scrapbooking and end up standing most of the time anyway.

I loved the Boxcar Children when I was young. I dreamed of being one of them! When ever I come across one of my books in a box of old things I'll sit down and read it and I still love the stories as much today as I did back then.

Use a dowel rod through the sleves, tie ribbon to the ends of the rod and then tie the ribbons together to form a triangle. You can then hang the triangle on a nail or decorative hook. It's a very customizable project too because you can paint the dowel rod or use something similar like pipe and you can change out the ribbons for something like rope or chain.

I should get some of these for my mother-in-law. She cooks everything in the micorwave and covers everything with plastic wrap. There is just something about seeing that plastic wrap come out of the microwave vacuumed to my food that I can't handle...
