Ugh! Fussy! And they look like they would throw ghastly shadows!

Like Allie_P, I use my slow-cooker every couple of days to make stock. Nothing beats its convenience.

The cake looks fab. The picture of the hair flopping around loose while icing it -- not so much.

We rent and have one in our apartment kitchen. I despise it! I always makes me cross at the the loss of storage space/shelfs that it represents.

Since going Paleo, I don't eat grains anymore, but when I did, I used the rice cooker method. Perfect every time.

Yes, by all means, eat less meat, y'all.
That will leave more for us of the paleo persuasion.

Absolutely lovely! Although I do think the counters have too much stuff on them. The TV seems especially unnecessary.

I think Flylady's system is simpler.

Also, I hate to be a grammar nazi, but
" If your kitchen was really clean" should be: "if your kitchen *were* really clean." The subjunctive is the correct usuage here.

Looks good. Seems to me, though, that you could save a step and deepen the flavor by roasting the leeks with the broccoli.

RE: Less vs Few debate: from Oxford Dictionaries.com

"Use fewer if you’re referring to people or things in the plural (e.g. houses, newspapers, dogs, students, children). ...

Less is also used with numbers when they are on their own and with expressions of measurement or time, e.g.:

Their marriage lasted less than two years.
Heath Square is less than four miles away from Dublin city centre."

Looks like less is the correct usuage in this case.

@ BKLYNbaker: I am totally with you regarding the KA. These are the most over-rated, over-hyped appliances in the world.

My vote for the stand mixer, though, would be for the Electrolux Assistent.
