Having been a very weight-conscious high schooler, I usually had diet soda and either baked chips, a granola bar or pop tarts for lunch and that was it. Basically, I ate sugar for lunch but not enough actual food to gain any weight. Blogger Eats 162 School Lunches In One Year |

I do this maybe twice a week with Brussels sprouts, broccoli, broccolini or asparagus. I would recommend sea salt before roasting, and adding a few smaller cloves of garlic if you like roasted garlic (which I do). Lemon juice, a little sprinkling of parmesan or red pepper flakes also make nice additions. How To Roast Any Vegetable |

I've stayed at the Morrison but can assure you my room looked nothing like that. I think that must be the suite! Nice hotel, though, and fantastic mojitos at the bar, though I realize how inauthentic it is to drink a Cuban cocktail in Dublin! Irrevocably Inspiring Irish Hotels | Apartment Therapy DC |

Roasted veggies -- asparagus, broccoli, could try cauliflower but haven't yet. On a baking sheet with olive oil, sea salt and a little red pepper for 20-30 minutes at 400 degress or mroe. Delicious. Spring Cooking: What Are Your Go-To Meals Right Now? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Lately I've been experimenting with pancakes. I quit eating them all together for about a year because the flour/sugar combination was just not very satisfying. At the moment I'm trying out recipes with cottage cheese or ricotta -- the heavy texture is much more satisfying than your regular fluffy pancake, and you get a protein boost too. Delicious with real maple syrup and berries on top! What Recipes Do You Want to Try This Month? March 2010 | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |
