I just drove Austin - Sacramento by way of San Diego and I enjoyed the Southern route, including west Texas. We stopped at Balhormea state park to go swimming and if we'd had more time would have stopped at Marfa too. The desert in Arizona and California was pretty amazing and no intense mountains like on 70. I've driven Chicago-Seattle a few times and I think eastern Washington might be one of the most boring parts of the US. And Illinois. I think TV shows are better than movies if you are really sick because you can watch them all day. Buffy is probably my favorite for marathon watching. Get Well Soon: What's Your Go To Movie When You are Feeling Sick? |

I have a beautiful white Kenmore I got a year or two ago, I think it is a lot nicer than stainless. Plus you can't have as many colors look nice on the walls with all stainless appliances. Will "White Ice" Replace Stainless Steel as the New Appliance Trend? |

Going the movies will always be where it's at for me, but there are some really great movie theaters here in Austin TX. The Alamo Drafthouse has great projection and a serious quiet zone policy. I'd probably feel differently if I was stuck at an AMC or something. Comedies are always more fun at the theater, probably cause everyone else is laughing and I'm drinking beer. At home there is too much distraction with crazy dogs and no one telling me to put my phone away. Is Your HDTV Better Than the Theater? |

This stupid thing ruined my ipod cable because you have to shove the cable through a small wooden pathway which takes an extreme right angle. It is really annoying that you can't easily remove the iphone since it uses the cable instead of a normal dock. It's also annoying there is no speaker, just grooves that appear in photos to look like a speaker. Finally, the clock is SO BRIGHT that I have to point it away from me while I am sleeping....which is pretty much the last thing you want with a clock. It is a total fail in my book & I wish I hadn't wasted the money. A Colorful Army of Areaware Alarm Docks ICFF 2012 |

I like this idea too. Lately I have been keeping my B12 at my desk and then I remember to take it if I'm tired, or whenever anyone talks about B12. My D I keep in the living room because that is the only way I remember it. Bedside Table Vitamin Command Center |

To me the funny thing about this article is pretending that people didn't always want to show off their houses. My mom sure did, she had pictures, and cases of crystal and wedding china and all that stuff. Her mom had a bar pantry that was full of bottles and glasses and stuff from the old country. I guess they were "amateur stylists" but I would imagine it's been that way since the industrial revolution. Propping: How Much Is Too Much? The New York Times |
