I see others have suggested the wardrobe idea as well. I would search Craig's List and local thrift stores for a wardrobe/armoire and freshen it up to match your kitchen. We have a 2 of them in our house and I know they would be plenty big. In fact, now that I think about it, they both hold much more than our actual pantry does. Happy hunting! It depends on what it is for me too. I use my nose a lot too. One thing with eggs - they are good for 35 days past the point of packaging. But the companies generally only stamp them for 28 days - on the end of the carton is a 3-digit number and that is the packaging day (not date, but day of the year, as in "101" means the 101st day of the year) - count 35 days from that and that's the real expiration date. I can't remember how I learned this, but it has served me well :) Do Expiration Dates Really Matter? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Yep … I make all my own cleaners with water, baking soda, vinegar, etc. I love it for multiple reasons, not the least of which is that my children can use the cleaners without any worries on my part! Which is the Best Green Cleaner? Reader Survey | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Thanks for these ideas. Some of us don't have the option of buying an old home right now, so it's nice to have inspiration on how we can add character and charm to our bare bones newer homes :) Making a New House Look Old Cottage Living | Apartment Therapy Boston |
