I just got the $3k Kistler sofa from Anthro for $1k!!!! probably the best deal in the universe, and I'm so glad I waited 3 years and happened to hit the 30% off the already reduced price sale right before they sold out! didn't read all the comments to see if this was said, but sleeve city has a variety of boxes for 7" records as well. That's how we store all of ours, and we've moved them twice with no problems. As for shelves, expedits are pretty much the standard and work fine, but we got very lucky and purchased a very large mid-century modular wall unit made for records from an estate sale. our neighbor put in a pea gravel path that extends from the landscaping in front of his house down the property line between our houses, and planted a variety of tall grasses throughout the gravel. It actually looks really good (almost looks like it's ours because we have a lot of nice landscaping), and does the trick of defining the property line AND adding some privacy. I've LOST that many records in a move. When I do purge records from the collection, I sell them... after listening again to make sure. If you're giving them up for the sake of home ownership (whatever that means) why not make some money??? But, I take my records seriously and wouldn't give them up OR sell them on a whim. Love the shower curtain! I would paint the walls pink to match the tiles, and get a white bath mat. Worry about the rest when you have the money - unless you have the funds to replace that vanity now, in that case I agree a pedestal would look so much better. If not, I wouldn't waste my time painting a vanity you plan to get rid of... I think you've chosen the perfect shower curtain to pull it together (as well as could be expected!).
