I love the Sophie Conran for Portmeiron dinnerware in white. Classy with a slight handmade vibe. Saw it in a certain Michelin star restaurant in London and felt like my choice was justified. :)

The best ones are at World Market for $7.99, rumour has it that's it's Spiegelau. Either way, manufactured in Germany, dishwasher safe (although I've broke a few stems doing it this way), and pretty damn cheap if you get it on sale. The zinfandel glasses work for both red and whites. I got 6 zin glasses, 4 burgundy ones and 2 pinot ones - serves every purpose under the sun and rain and causes less heartache than those overpriced Riedel ones. Go tipsy.

Things I love about World Market: Vanilla beans ($2.99), Picardie glasses and English clotted cream. Also, their Connoisseur wine glasses are worth every penny when it's on sale.

On top of blueberries drizzled with maple syrup.

In anything that uses sour cream! I never use sour cream anymore.

And also, mixing creme fraiche with goat cheese in an asparagus tart - oh.my.god.

Second the Pacific Northwest beers! Yay PNW! Too many good beers to name.

For non-PNW stuff, I am partial to Dogfish Head's Festina Peche and Crispin on Ice's Extra Dry Cider.

Iced chai with tons of condensed milk. Oh, heavens.

Oh, the before kitchen was quite nice as well! I liked the coziness of the yellow kitchen. Very good job with the new kitchen too, though!

How long does it take for frozen vegetables to lose their nutrients if it's been opened and sitting in the freezer?

I think it's more to do with education and being informed than wealth.

If I'm not mistaken, cleaning the floor of paint is pretty easy? Just some sand paper and coat of stain should work, so she can do it when she leaves.

But! Replacing the floor? You should really talk to the landlord about it.
