I once worked with a horticulturalist who added crushed eggshells to the bottom of the hole when planting tomatoes - something about added calcium I think? So I'm sure there's nothing bad for the soil with them, but as already mentioned they might attract other animals. Is Crushed Eggshell An Acceptable Slug Deterrent? Good Question |

I live in metro Detroit and I can say that yes, the winters are very snowy, but if that is the reason you need awd, a good set of snow tires will do just as well (and the sense to not drive like a maniac in the snow helps too!). I JUST test drove a Volt (like an hour ago, they brought them to my work for a test drive thing) and was very impressed with the handling and all of the features, but I'm not sure how it would fare with two kids. I'm pretty sure we rinsed ours daily, and instead of soaking them the whole time we would just make sure they always stayed damp. I'm not completely sure though..I don't remember them every lasting past the first day they could be eaten :) How To Make Sprouts from Lentils |

I had these all the time as a kid - I like them a little less sprouted though, which also takes less time. If I remember right we would soak the lentils for one day, and then rinse and drain, and keep them damp for another. Then they were ready to eat! They're delicious, otherwise there's no way my mother would have been able to get me to eat something so healthy :) How To Make Sprouts from Lentils |

I have a blah-green tiled bathroom, like the sink in the thrid picture, and I'm thinking of painting it a darker but still vibrant blue and hoping it it doesn't look too much like the ocean. It is a bathroom, after all, so we'll see.. I once saw a bathroom with pale pink tiles and the walls painted red, and it looked surprisingly great!
