Without looking at the house tour, just seeing the "closet" made my day. Call me shallow and spiritually empty, but being comfortable in my home, after a hard day's work, is important. If I had the space to turn a room into a closet, I absolutely would. What's the difference from turning a spare bedroom into an office or craftroom? We all have our vices; for some its an expensive bottle of wine, for others its vacationing, Sai's appears to be shopping. She seems to do it well. I absolutely love her style, taste and decor.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. She is a nurse, which in the best of situations, is a very stressful profession. Let the woman indulge herself in peace.

@fledder, thank you, I agree totally with your first sentence. I would try to run a surge protector from wherever the fridge and or stove is plugged in. It might be a major inconvenience, but when you love an apartment, you find work arounds. I thought my bathroom didn't have an outlet, until I happened across it in the light fixture, who knew? LOL. Luckily for me, I have a lil dressing area with a vanity so I don't have to rely on the outlet above the sink. Good luck and congrats.

Someone, please invent the the job Procrastinator. I would be an instant success. I'm currently trying to cut something out of my budget so I can afford a cleaning lady at least 2x a month. Despite my best intentions, I can't seem to keep a 473 sq ft studio apt tidy. From mail to shoes and handbags accumulating everywhere, I cant seem to get the clutter under control. I've tried the 10 minute per task rule. It works great for a day or so, then I stop. HELP!!!!!

Clean, clean and clean. Whatever product you use, combine it with good old fashioned elbow grease. I inherited ugly black & white floor tile and pale bluish gray wall tile halfway up. I cleaned the heck out of it. Purchased white rugs, white shower curtain with patches of lilac. Painted the surrounding walls in lilac. The tile really does fade into the background.

Love everything. Especially the fact that the owner shops at Housing Works. I pop in to at least 1 location on a weekly basis.

Thanks to moving from a decent sized 1 bedroom to a much smaller studio, I got rid of a lot of multiples. Down to 3 sets of sheets, 4 sets of towels, dinner set for 4. But I do have a problem with wine glasses & shot glasses. I have way too many, but because I tend to break wine glasses, I'm ok with it.

In the closet, which takes up valuable floor space. I don't have a bedroom door (studio) and the bathroom is too tiny for a hamper.

You had me at the backyard. I would forgo my queen sized bed to have a backyard attached to my studio apartment.

Paint before, but be prepared to have to touch up a few areas. I was able to have my contractor paint prior to moving in. However, while moving in furniture, appliances, etc, there were areas that got scratched up. Mainly in the entryway, where for some reason, movers & furniture companies just aren't careful.

I inherited some form of black and white floor tile in my bathroom, and I hate it. It was not in good condition when I purchased the unit, And my renovation budget stopped short of the bathroom. A good scrubbing and paint job freshened the rest of the bathroom, but the floor just never looks clean. Any suggestions?

I love the clean simplicity. Are those spice jars on the fridge? If so, please advise where they are from.

Very cute place. I too, love the curtains. And the fact that it looks as though there are regular sized appliances, at least full size bed, etc. When I was renovating my studio, I was advised to get "apartment sized" appliances. I chose to go with regular sized appliances and queen sized bed. It works for me.

This place is cute. What some might view as clutter, I would view as lived in. Of course, this is coming from someone who struggles with 'clutter", LOL. Love the bed area wall color, the rug and the color of the cover at the end of the bed.

@lepidoptery I may have to devote a rod for boot storage. I'm thinking of these boot hangers from bootique.com (http://www.boottique.com/inc/sdetail/33/38). They are a lil pricey, @3 for $20, but I'm gonna give them a shot.I have a low hanging rod in a wardrobe, which just might work.

I have 3 closets in my 473 sq ft studio, but they are by no means spacious. I had to buy an armoire for additional storage. My problem is boot storage. I'm looking for a solution where I can hang boots in the closet, not off a rod, off of hooks maybe. Any suggestions?

I just cleaned the heck out of the shower tile and it worked wonders.
Used some good old fashioned "elbow grease", along with Scrubbing Bubbles. The grout looked dark beige, it's now very close to white, not quite bright white, but good for now. Trying to muster the enegry to finish the job, behind the toilet and sink area.
