We used these numbers in antique bronze outside each of the units in our condo building and they look great. Has anyone found similarly-styled letters? We have a couple of "B" units and the closest I could find was an arts and crafts style. Great Finds: Modern House Numbers on the Cheap |

If you are near DC, you may want to check out Urban Retreat Furniture, which contracts with makers to build furniture that is nearly identical to products from Pottery Barn, C&B and others. I'd stay away from the sleeper sofas because those are rarely good anywhere but the rest of the stuff is great! Fabric Chesterfield Sofa Sources? Good Questions |

I've learned that mint grown in a pot needs to be thinned out so that the roots don't crowd out new growth. The first year we grew it, we filled a small pot with a few plants. The mint grew in fits and spurts in different areas and died in others. The roots were still good, though, so the next year, we just turned over the soil and removed some roots. Now we have a healthy pot full of mint. The Do's & Don'ts of Growing Mint |

I'm guessing a lot of people will suggest painting the cabinets. If you're not up for painting all of them you might want to consider painting the island - perhaps a gray? Also it might be nice to add some colorful artwork and consider throw rugs on the floor (if you are OK with rugs in the kitchen). We have a similarly nice, new, functional kitchen that could use some sprucing up so I'm eager to see what others have to say. How To Spruce Up Bland Kitchen? Good Questions |

OK - I agree with all of these comments that this looks creepy because it's clearly not meant for a single homemaker to do daily chores. But... I have to say that, if you haven't tried it, you ought to iron your sheets at least once to know how much nicer they can feel. I do it once in a while - same with the linen napkins. It's a definite luxury. My mom actually ironed all of our sheets, napkins and handtowels weekly when I was a kid. Martha's Laundry Room The Martha Blog |

I would fill the space to the right of the TV with a vertical framed print that is roughly the dimensions of your TV. It would complement the frame of your TV to make it look like it was part of an ensemble. Above the TV, I recommend a gallery assortment of smaller frames. For more symmatry, use 2 or 3 identical frames, perhaps square, above the TV. The point is to think of the TV as part of the gallery wall, not as a obstacle to it.
