I once worked at a public school where I was the only teacher without a classroom as my "home base." I requested a small office space, which they found for me in the shape of a former men's faculty bathroom turned faculty smoking room turned my office! Blue tile everywhere! They built a desk space around the two toilets and a mantle-like shelf around the urinals! It was hilarious! There were also two sinks--which may have been practical if the water had not been shut off!! I wonder why I did not work at that school very long! LOVE the idea, LOVE LOVE LOVE the fabric, so-so on the lower drawer pulls, dislike the distressing on the coral paint...I feel the fabric is so modern that the distressed paint on the rest of the dresser looks out of place and would be better crisply and cleanly painted. I agree that usually, a longer curtain rod would be better, but I can also see in this case (in the after picture) that draping the curtains to the sides of the shelving unit makes a feminine canopy-like effect. To each her own! Before & After: Plain Curtains Gone Girly Love Maegan |

I lived in a house in the country and inherited a bedbug problem because of the bats that lived between the ceiling and the roof, then came through the wooden ceiling and ate me alive. My mattresses, furniture and clothes were never inefested. We caulked every single crack in the ceiling and it helped tremendously, I can't remember if I ever saw a live one again after that. And when I moved a year or so later, just to be sure, I got rid of my sofa, mattress and boxspring, and all of my other things were in storage in a unheated facility, so I figured that too was extra insurance. Since then I've been living in a city and have been lucky that this has not happened again! Bed Bugs: The First Hand Freak Out Account |
