I have a very old belgium oak table that looks fantastic with Navy chairs in brushed aluminum. There are reproductions that look like the real thing at 1/3 of the cost. The shine against the deep wood has gotten a lot of compliments. Also, like your table, I have a deep curtain that runs the length around the table, which can make it difficult to put your legs under the table without touching the wood. Keep that in mind, try out before you commit to something.

It's fine if the panels are stationery, if you don't need coverage, but it looks cheap. I would at least attach the panels to a rod that stretches across the whole of the window.

I had a bathroom just like this once. You can't fight with the colors of the tile. I went with paint that matched the yellow tile, painted the walls and cabinet all yellow. It actually made the room look larger. I then had inexpensive colorful artwork, Picaso-type, framed and hung on almost every square inch of the walls up to the ceiling. Again, making the room look larger. There isn't much pink, but you can paint over the pink tile in black to unify the space. Ask your local paint store to direct you on the type of paint to use.
These may be unexpected suggestions, but everyone that went in my bathroom commented how great it looked.

Paint..either with black or a dark grey/green. Elephant at Ben Moore is a great color. Painting it dark will actual make the cabinet recess and make your room look larger. I know it goes against the rule that light makes rooms look bigger, but when going lower than eye level it actually enlarges the space. Ben moore also makes a good strong melamine that is hard to chip.

It is much cheaper to paint than buy new furniture and art to fit the room. If you are starting from scratch then I agree with mjs7640 and do everything white. Layer with white...no need to add another color. Modern would really pop against the traditionalism of the house...good luck!

Bringing wood floors would be a good start.
Or a warm sisal-type rug replacing the dark carpet you have now. I think you want to keep it masculine but inviting.
Beware of using too bright colors with your pieces (red, orange)...you want to stay modern and not 80's. It can be hard to balance black and chrome and not return to the Nagel paintings of yester-year.
A wall unit (even low laying) for your tv and speakers and any books would tidy up the space and give it some purpose.
Wall color. A soft grey would work very well with the room.
Layer on layer of similar colors help build texture and interest to the space. Don't clutter the space with throws and too many cushions. A cashmere grey pillows/throw would look great because of the tension it would provide.
Don't dis-regard luxury to warm the space.

Great space with lots of potential. Good luck!
