I think I will be replacing at least one shade. The punch of design and color will definitely give a new "punch" to my family room.

I bought the same Jenn-Air as pictured but in white Feb. 2009 and have had no problems. I use the oven almost every day. Before I had a Kitchen Aide with similar features and had to have it repaired 3 times in 5 years. I bought this Jenn-Air instead of doing a 4th repair on the Kitchen Aide.

I use our iPad a lot. I listen to NPR pod casts at night. During the day I use the web for info, use apps for recipes and often read my Kindle books on it. We use it a lot on trips because its larger format is more suitable for us seniors. My Kindle is getting old and I guess our iPad 1 is too. The iPhone is part of my life, too and of course our grandchildren like to play games on both.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your home, Joe. You certainly did "artfully arrange" your select findings. The chosen colors and textures make even the most ordinary, such as seashells, paper clips, coins, safety pins and so on, quite interesting in your arrangements. I did want to observe even the smallest detail. Thanks for sharing! and for inspiration!

Some six years ago in my laundry room, I glued artist canvas onto my cabinet doors and then painted the canvas. The canvas is holding up well.

I really like the use of your crazy quilt to recover the chairs that belonged to your husband's great-grandmother. Each treasure compliments the other treasure.

Back - I mean way back in the late 50s, I remember sleeping on such a sofa at my grandma's. And I remember well the annoying crack between the sofa back and the sofa seat - the two just didn't meet at the same height.

Maybe I haven't been a AT reader as long as those who have posted here. But I think the post does make one pause and think about an object's utility as well as its design. Frankly, plain, wooden pegs don't thrill some.

This is a most successful site. However, I don't expect every single posting to appeal to my tastes. But I can say that throughout any given day, this site provides me with interesting ideas or insight into design with one or more postings.
