I am actually old enough to have a real mid century mid-century bedroom set and all the pieces are dark walnut. We also bought dark walnut living room tables. I still have the side table but no longer do I have the coffee table. Oh, what I have given away over the years! Before & After: Restoring a Mid-Century Modern DresserThe Creative Imperative |

I think I will be replacing at least one shade. The punch of design and color will definitely give a new "punch" to my family room. Design Dare: Graphic Geometric Lampshades |

Great job! You gave considerable thought to elements such as the rugs - not only the color but the design and texture. And it all adds up to a wonderful, delightful and serene home! Kelly and Michael's Light and Bright Abode House Tour |

I bought the same Jenn-Air as pictured but in white Feb. 2009 and have had no problems. I use the oven almost every day. Before I had a Kitchen Aide with similar features and had to have it repaired 3 times in 5 years. I bought this Jenn-Air instead of doing a 4th repair on the Kitchen Aide. I use our iPad a lot. I listen to NPR pod casts at night. During the day I use the web for info, use apps for recipes and often read my Kindle books on it. We use it a lot on trips because its larger format is more suitable for us seniors. My Kindle is getting old and I guess our iPad 1 is too. The iPhone is part of my life, too and of course our grandchildren like to play games on both. Reader Survey: How Often Do You Use Your iPad? |

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your home, Joe. You certainly did "artfully arrange" your select findings. The chosen colors and textures make even the most ordinary, such as seashells, paper clips, coins, safety pins and so on, quite interesting in your arrangements. I did want to observe even the smallest detail. Thanks for sharing! and for inspiration! Joe's Curiosity Shop Shotgun Apartment House Tour |

Some six years ago in my laundry room, I glued artist canvas onto my cabinet doors and then painted the canvas. The canvas is holding up well. Can I "Fake" Frameless Cabinets? Good Questions |

Superb job. I do like the crisp white juxtaposed with the chosen colors of the backrest. Very sophisticated now instead of a "oak-schoolhouse" finish. Before & After: Painted Dining Chairs WoodWise |

Back - I mean way back in the late 50s, I remember sleeping on such a sofa at my grandma's. And I remember well the annoying crack between the sofa back and the sofa seat - the two just didn't meet at the same height. Havana Sleeper Sofa Bed from DWR Product Review |

Maybe I haven't been a AT reader as long as those who have posted here. But I think the post does make one pause and think about an object's utility as well as its design. Frankly, plain, wooden pegs don't thrill some. Style It: 10 Things That Look Cool on Wall Hooks |
