Do it! So fun, and the memories will be awesome. Many great tips were already mentioned. The book "Babes in the Woods," by Jennifer Aist, is an amazing resource too. I think this room is so sweet and peaceful. Great job! That rug is perfect for the room! I've made the book slings for my kids' rooms and they are soo nice. I too agree with FrogsPet...I did love my Ergo with my first 2 babies (6-8 years ago), but once a baby carrier small business owner friend of mine informed me of their business practices, I got rid of mine...and found the Beco 4th gen before it was off the market (bad ergo!). It is wonderful, and I love the fabric options so much more than ergo's! And honestly, it was more comfortable as well... i think the room is sweet...your kids must love it! i have 4 young kids, and ALL their toys are in their playroom as well-- we bought the house because of the playroom! (we're up in alaska, and end up spending quite a bit of time inside during the long cold dark winters). my kids share bedrooms- boys room and girls room, and they are very small, so it works out well to keep their toys in one area. it sometimes looks like a lot, but it's toys for all ages, and i thin things out routinely. oh, and we have a tv in there, too. i exercise down there, and use dvds. works great. Frances at the Starcraft is THE BEST!!!! I had a custom order with her for colored stars last month, and they are beautiful! She is wonderful to work with, and I am in love with the stars (they're for a wall/ceiling leading to my kids' playroom). Seriously, I told my husband the other day, "these make me so happy." this is pretty much what i'm planning to do to my entry closet! thanks for a great visual :) very cute and well done. Shannon Kay, i'm up in alaska, and it's break-up season right now- snow is melting (hopefully, sometimes it'll snow into may....ugh), and with that, comes MUD! very messy time of the year. And TheLittlestChicken- go for no shoes in the house! no one in alaska wears shoes in the house (well, many alaskans don't), and hawaiians don't as well. when i was in california for a bit, i still took off my shoes out of habit, and people would make comments about "knowing who the alaskans were" because our shoes would be lined up at the door (i was there with 2 friends). much cleaner :) Closet Turned Mud Room \| Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh Flag this comment	4/12/10 4:39 AM

super cute room! i like the yellow "cloud" around the crib. funny, too-- my girls' room has those tissue paper pom poms, as well as the book sleeves! ohdeedoh rocks for ideas :) the book sleeves are from pennycarnival-- she has a tutorial here http://www.ohdeedoh.com/ohdeedoh/february-jumpstart-2009-entries/how-to-make-a-hanging-book-display-megans-february-jumpstart-project-2009-077231?image_id=3146 . they are attached by double curtain rod brackets. i made 3 in about an hour for my kids (my girls share one right now. i have them next to their beds, so they can look at books before falling asleep). i love them because you can make them in any fabric, which really changes the look up. melanie, i wish you the best with your new arrival! my last 3 were overdue, and it is kinda fun to see people's reactions when they ask "when are you due?" and you answer "last week!" hoping your baby comes today!! my boys have bunkbeds, and I recently made pennycarnival's (LOVE THEM!) bookslings. they are wonderful; my boys love having books near them at night. pennycarnival, i keep meaning to send you a picture!
